Empowering Carolina: Discussion on Hidden Disabilities
Please join us for an Empowering Carolina event focused on hidden disabilities on Monday, April 10, 2017, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Toy Lounge in Dey Hall. Empowering Carolina, which launched in the spring of 2016, is a series of programs held on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill throughout the year to raise awareness of resources for individuals with disabilities and to celebrate disabilities as part of diversity.
The event will feature a message from Dave DeVito, a clinical social worker and the Bounce Back Coordinator at UNC-CH’s Counseling and Psychological Services. A panel discussion, made up of students, faculty, and staff, will follow. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about resources available for students and employees with disabilities at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Empowering Carolina is sponsored by Accessibility Resources & Service and the Division of Workforce Strategy, Equity and Engagement, including Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, the Equal Opportunity and Compliance Office, and the Office of Human Resources.
If you need accommodations for the event (e.g., sign language interpreters), please contact Rudy Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org, (919) 962-9980, or (T) 711 NC RELAY as soon as possible.
