EOC will host Empowering Employees on Thursday, April 21, 2016, to celebrate the contributions of employees with disabilities at UNC-Chapel Hill and to share information about empowering individuals with disabilities within our workforce. The event is scheduled for 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Frank Porter Graham Student Union in room 2518A-B.
Empowering Employees is one of the programs in the new Empowering Carolina series launching this month at Carolina. Empowering Carolina brings departments and organizations across campus together to host disability awareness initiatives and programs over the course of the year. Additional Empowering Carolina events that will be taking place in April include a student panel on non-visible disabilities on April 14 that is hosted by Accessibility Resources & Service and the Bridge the Gap Wheelchair Basketball Tournament on April 23 that is hosted by the organization and the Department of Exercise and Sport Science.
