As of January 2020, our division, formerly referred to as the The Division for Workforce Strategy, Equity and Engagement (WSEE), was renamed as Human Resources and Equal Opportunity and Compliance. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion, which was previously part of WSEE, now reports to the Provost.

Human Resources and Equal Opportunity and Compliance are led by Vice Chancellor Becci Menghini. The division works to foster a sense of collaboration with other units on campus to address matters of discrimination and harassment and improve campus climate as it relates to sexual assault and gender-based harassment. These two offices work to implement strategies for supporting and enriching Carolina’s workforce, complying with Equal Opportunity/ADA laws, and enhancing inclusiveness across all parts of our campus.
